UNOH Great Eight Next Stage in Chase for the Championship
BATAVIA, Ohio (August 28, 2024) – The UNOH “Great Eight” were presented a cash bonus based on their position in the championship point standings for the Big River Steel Chase for the Championship Presented by ARP following the events at Port Royal Speedway.
The UNOH Great Eight is the third of four bonus rounds in the Big River Steel Chase for the Championship presented by ARP. The UNOH Great Eight honors the top eight drivers in their pursuit of the record points fund of over $1,000,000. The series champion will receive $200,000, while the top four drivers in the final series point standings will earn a minimum of $100,000 each.
Rick Thornton Jr. earned $7,500 from a total of $18,000 paid out to the top eight drivers in the championship standings. Second through eighth - each receiving $1,500 - in the championship standings were Jonathan Davenport, Devin Moran, Hudson O’Neal, Tim McCreadie, Garrett Alberson, Daulton Wilson, and Mike Marlar.
UNOH Great Eight Bonus Payout: 1. $7,500, 2. $1,500, 3. $1,500, 4. $1,500, 5. $1,500, 6. $1,500, 7. $1,500, 8. $1,500 = Total $18,000
