Flinner Dreams Big - Claims 2016 Rookie of the Year
WAYCROSS, GA (November 3, 2016) - Colton Flinner of Allison Park, PA, has quickly established himself as a future star in dirt late model racing. Flinner clinched the 2016 Lucas Oil Products Rookie of the Year - Presented by Hot Rod Processing.
“We have had a lot of ups and downs this year, but we stuck with it. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot this season. It’s been a dream come true,” said Flinner. “I am grateful for all the advice from everyone at Clint Bowyer Racing, along with Dennis Erb Jr. and his Crew Chief, Heather Lyne.”
Flinner battled against the toughest competition in the nation each and every week, at new venues across the country and not only claimed Rookie of the Year honors, but was the Optima Batteries Hard Charger of the Year.
The 2016 Rookie of the Year will collect over $10,000 in cash and other prizes at the series year-end awards banquet. “I have to thank my mom and dad for letting me live my dream. It was just my dad and I traveling from track to track all season long. I’d like to thank All-American Framers, A.W.
